Welcome to Zeldahacking.net! This site was created to organize ROM hacks created by the Zelda Oracles ROM hacking community.

We do not host ROMs here! Please only upload patch files. BPS patches are preferred (IPS format is very wasteful).

The following emulators are widely used by the ROM hacking community and generally shouldn't have many issues:

• BGB
• Sameboy
• Bizhawk

In terms of emulators that are NOT recommended:

• VisualBoyAdvance has a known issue affecting the original games which can cause the game to crash when switching floors on the map menu. However, VBA-M, the updated fork, is probably okay.
• My OldBoy! on Android is known to have a highly specific emulation inaccuracy that causes most Oracles ROM hacks to be unplayable.

In general though, the Zelda Oracle games are not tricky games to emulate, and we expect most emulators to work.
